Happy Leap Day!

Hooray for fun days like today! I know I am not the only one who hates tugging at my clothing to make sure it lays right! I kid you not, SheTravled makes it so I don't ever have to pull or tug to keep the clothing down! I don't have to worry about anything riding up and I can always feel classy, chic and confident.

Here is a little bio about a treasured friendship. I met Sam when I was 11. He and his family quickly became best friends with my family! Sam is the most amazing person I know. I don't know where I would be in my life without him. Our friendship started out with going to the lake and riding Big Mama (our giant tube), wii bowling (Sam always wins), cafe rio, watching Napoleon Dynamite, and sleepovers almost every weekend. I was able to go to several school dances with Sam and we have great memories from those! Sam is a blast and I love him more than anything. 

Watching Sam navigate through life has taught me many lessons. Sam loves everyone unconditionally. When I am having a hard time trying to forgive someone or trying to understand someone's point of view, I try to be more like Sam. I know if I can have just some of his traits I will be a better person.

I have also learned from Sam that disabilities do not make a person who they are. There are many people that struggle in different ways and it is not fair to treat someone differently simply because they don't look like you and me. 

Sam and I would like to challenge you to post a picture with your buddy who has a disability and tell us how they have changed your life. If you don't have a buddy go out and find one! "When you judge someone based on a diagnosis you miss out on their abilities, beauty & uniqueness." -Seventy. When you post your picture tag 3 friends to give them the challenge. Photoshoot Collaboration- Love, Sweet Love!

If you can't tell by now, I am definitely talking about Valentine's Day today. Juan and I started a tradition of going to get massages every year. We love massages. It is so nice to just step away from everything and be able to relax. My recommendation is the Orem Center for Massage. They have the option to get a massage from an apprentice which gives you a chance to get a massage for a great price. Check them out if you are in Utah County!

 

 

This year was extra special. Juan and I were able to collaborate with some amazing people to do a Valentine's date photo-shoot. We had so much fun having little treats and playing in the snow together. Kelsie Keller: make-up, Jessica Fullmer: hair, Hillary Brown: photography, Jason Bartholomew: flowers, and Janay Marie made the gown and skirt I wore. Juan and I had an amazing Valentine's Day that we were able to celebrate all week long. I love celebrating holidays and Juan is nice enough to celebrate with me. I honestly don't know how I got so lucky. He opens my doors, takes me on shopping sprees, makes me dinner all of the time, treats me like a queen, and pushes me to become the best version of myself.

Stripes and Polka Dots

So I have a little secret. She Traveled. I recently got introduced to this clothing company by my sister. We are always looking for fun new clothing companies and this one is fabulous! The best things about She Traveled are the clothes and your ability to mix and match to create your own outfits!

I can't wait for spring and summer. I am not a big fan of the snow or the cold. I guess that is what happens when you are raised in St. George Utah haha. This outfit is perfect for winter and can transition into spring/summer super well.
