Winter Picnic

I love trying new things. One of the new things I have tried lately is collaborating with different people to create these awesome photoshoots! Utah is full of talent and I am lucky enough to have people that want to work with me!

This shoot was up in American Fork Canyon. The theme was to have a picnic in the snow which you think would be freezing, but it wasn't at all! We had so much fun and can't wait to hopefully do another one again soon.

The brains behind this idea was my sister Jessica. She gathered everyone and came up with the idea for the shoot. She is so creative and she also did the hair so make sure to check her out on insta @norskpike_hair! Check out the details for the rest down below! Also, have fun looking at all the pics.

#NeedAFriendBeAFriend

CHECK THIS OUT!!!! www.youtube.com

Here is a little bio about a treasured friendship. I met Sam when I was 11. He and his family quickly became best friends with my family! Sam is the most amazing person I know. I don't know where I would be in my life without him. Our friendship started out with going to the lake and riding Big Mama (our giant tube), wii bowling (Sam always wins), cafe rio, watching Napoleon Dynamite, and sleepovers almost every weekend. I was able to go to several school dances with Sam and we have great memories from those! Sam is a blast and I love him more than anything.

Watching Sam navigate through life has taught me many lessons. Sam loves everyone unconditionally. When I am having a hard time trying to forgive someone or trying to understand someone's point of view, I try to be more like Sam. I know if I can have just some of his traits I will be a better person.

I have also learned from Sam that disabilities do not make a person who they are. There are many people that struggle in different ways and it is not fair to treat someone differently simply because they don't look like you and me.

Sam and I would like to challenge you to post a picture with your buddy who has a disability and tell us how they have changed your life. If you don't have a buddy go out and find one! "When you judge someone based on a diagnosis you miss out on their abilities, beauty & uniqueness." -Seventy. When you post your picture tag 3 friends to give them the challenge. We will also be highlighting some of your stories and pictures on my blog and social media! And make sure to use the #NeedAFriendBeAFriend when you post!

Make sure to watch the link at the top of the page! You won't regret it!

Also when you have time check out Lauren Watson's YouTube channel & Subscribe! She is such a cutie!! (love you Lauren!)

Photoshoot Collaboration- Love, Sweet Love!

If you can't tell by now, I am definitely talking about Valentine's Day today. Juan and I started a tradition of going to get massages every year. We love massages. It is so nice to just step away from everything and be able to relax. My recommendation is the Orem Center for Massage. They have the option to get a massage from an apprentice which gives you a chance to get a massage for a great price. Check them out if you are in Utah County!

This year was extra special. Juan and I were able to collaborate with some amazing people to do a Valentine's date photo-shoot. We had so much fun having little treats and playing in the snow together. Kelsie Keller: make-up, Jessica Fullmer: hair, Hillary Brown: photography, Jason Bartholomew: flowers, and Janay Marie made the gown and skirt I wore. Make sure to go follow their Instagram accounts because they all are amazing! (find them tagged on my Insta pics!)

Juan and I had an amazing Valentine's Day that we were able to celebrate all week long. I love celebrating holidays and Juan is nice enough to celebrate with me. I honestly don't know how I got so lucky. He opens my doors, takes me on shopping sprees, makes me dinner all of the time, treats me like a queen, and pushes me to become the best version of myself.

Enjoy the pictures from the shoot and don't forget to follow all these peeps on Instagram because they are so talented!

Stripes and Polka Dots

So I have a little secret. She Traveled. I recently got introduced to this clothing company by my sister. We are always looking for fun new clothing companies and this one is fabulous! The best things about She Traveled are the clothes and your ability to mix and match to create your own outfits!

I can't wait for spring and summer. I am not a big fan of the snow or the cold. I guess that is what happens when you are raised in St. George Utah haha. This outfit is perfect for winter and can transition into spring/summer super well.

Back in Black!

So I want to apologize for not posting in a while. Juan and I had a very busy holiday season. We traveled a lot, but we were too focused on family to even think about taking pictures. Fail! Also, I started a new job that Juan and I are very excited about. Not only because we get to see each other almost every day, but because this job will be an amazing experience. I am looking forward to growing and working hard in what feels like my first post college big girl job!

It's a New Year. I don't know about you, but I have been working on my 2016 goals way before 2016 started. I have a lot of things that I want to achieve and if I have learned anything from Juan, it is that we work hard and we prepare in ways I had no idea existed. It is great seeing how our relationship has grown over the last year and a half. We are working together to achieve each other's goals. We push each other and we make sure the other doesn't lose sight of what we want or who we want to become. Success doesn't just happen; you have to work hard. I am grateful for my parents who have taught me to work hard in all aspects of my life. I am also extremely grateful for Juan, who helps me continue doing what my parents taught me, and for teaching me other ways to achieve my dreams.

I do have to give a little shout out to Juan for standing by my side while I serve as Miss Provo. This has been a dream for me ever since I was a little girl. It says a lot about who Juan is as a person because he is so supportive of my dreams and there are very few men in the world that would be as supportive as he has been.

Now on to the Fashion! There is something about all black to me that says professional, sleek, and classic all in one. I love finding new sites and seeing how their clothing works. I do have big plans in place for incorporating these into my blog soon!
